The American Society of Transplant Surgeons advances the art and science of transplant surgery through support for patient care, research, educational initiatives, and advocacy.
To that end, the organization welcomes applications for its Collaborative Scientist Grant program. Through the program, grants of up to $50,000 a year for up to two years will be awarded to investigators and their scientific collaborators in support of research in the field of solid organ transplantation.
To be eligible, applicants must be a member of ASTS with an established research effort, a surgical faculty member at an established UNOS-approved transplant center, and reside in North America. Collaborators must have completed an advanced professional degree (i.e., MD, PhD, DVM) or foreign equivalent.
See the American Society of Transplant Surgeons website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
