The Foundation for Women’s Wellness (FWW) is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to improving women’s health by raising support for innovative early-stage research and education.
To that end, FWW invites applications for its fellowship awards program to recognize and support MD and PhD candidates and those pursuing postdoctoral and specialty training in women’s health disciplines. Awards are one-time, non-recurring $5,000 awards given directly to the individual.
Research should be related to the foundation’s priority areas, including cardiovascular disease, leading female cancers, hormones’ role in disease and stage-of-life health concerns, diseases or health concerns that disproportionately afflict women or the exploration of gender differences related to the aforementioned topics.
Applicants must currently be pursuing an MD and/or PhD or be engaged in post-doctoral fellowship or similar specialty training at a United States-based academic institution for the calendar year she/he is applying. Research must be conducted at a U.S.-based medical institution, though applicants may or may not be U.S. citizens (but all applicants must have a social security number).
