Deadline: December 1, 2020
Category: Health Sciences; Rheumatology,
The mission of the Rheumatology Research Foundation is to advance research and training focused on improving the health of patients living with rheumatic disease.
To advance this mission, the foundation welcomes applications for its Rheumatology Future Physician Scientist Award. Through the program, grants of $30,000 a year for up to two years will be awarded to enhance the research training of promising students who are enrolled in a combined MD/PhD or DO/PhD dual-doctoral degree training program and who intend to pursue a career as a physician-scientist. Awards are intended to support dissertation research projects in scientific health-related fields relevant to the mission of the Rheumatology Research Foundation. The research training experience is expected to tangibly enhance awardees’ potential to develop into a productive, independent, physician-scientist in the field of rheumatology.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in an MD/PhD or DO/PhD program and have identified a dissertation research project and a primary mentor; the primary mentor must be a member of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) at the time of the application and for the duration of the award.
See the Rheumatology Research Foundation website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
